The Ronstadt Transit Center is located at the heart of downtown Tucson, AZ. Currently, it serves as a bus transit station for Sun Tran located on Congress Street and 6th Ave and has been operational since 1991. Fentress Architects designed the site and included reclaimed bricks from the Ronstadt Hardware Store to tie into the local vernacular. Decorative tiles and custom bricks showcase the artistry and craftsmanship of local members of Tucson. The University of Arizona's Environmental Research Laboratory helped to develop two 50-foot cooling towers to relieve individuals from Tucson's scorching summer sun.
